I have a CRX with a the JDM gauge cluster yo! I went to the junk yard and took a VSS out of a LS Integra dc2 and the wiring as best I could to the plug. How do I remove the old cable one, and how do I install the new electronic VSS. I have the VSS the connector the wiring. I think I wire it to a pin out on the gauge cluster does it need to be run to the ECU or no? Please sumone get back to me I am LOST!!!
yes, it needs to run to both the cluster and the ecu.
the exact pinout of the 3 wires has been covered before.
but to clarify your orignal question, the answer is yes.

Got out the old cable VSS but not without problems the top broke if it wasn't already. I put the new one out of an auto ls dc2 from the junkyard. I cut the mounting bracket to make it if and put washers on a new extended 10mm to make it sit well. Now that's done I have the connector to the new electronic VSS. It has an Orange/ Orange Black/ and Black ground. Now I looked at gauge cluster swaps and I know that sumthing goes into b1 on the cluster, but what about the ECU? I have a p28 I can't find pinouts for that. Help would be awesome!
