Default Exhaust Setup

I have a 2000 Civic SI with a GSR block, JDM Type R head, internals, and tranny... Right now I have a Jasma approved header, omni power test pipe, and Apexi WS2 exhaust... from some research I found that I can use a better setup for more gain in hp and torque, and the setup I have now is alright but can be better for a good price range too! I dont want an all out race car, its my daily driver, I just want the best setup at a good price range. I bought the car with this setup and want to do my own, hence I cant even find out who makes the header, and I've been reading up on how the Apexi WS2 exhaust is good for daily driving but not so much in performance.

So far Im looking at the DC 4-2-1 Race Header, RSR Ex Mag exhaust, and possibly keep the same test pipe... any suggestions or feedback on that? Thanks

Ive searched and read up the products, Im almost definite about going with the DC Race Header, but Im still not too sure about either the RSR Ex Mag or the Apexi exhaust. Im leaning towards RSR.

DC headers are only a little better than stock. I believe both the Apex WS and RSR exhausts are both 2.25" so there will not be much difference at all from your current setup. Get a good header like SMSP, RMF, DTR, or Hytech. Or if you cannot afford any of those, get a knockoff like Rage, Profab, etc...for about half the price. As for the exhaust get something at least 2.75" to 3" piping. That will be a huge difference from your current setup. Prolly gain at least 10 to 15whp. Good luck.

I'm running the DC Sport 4-1 race header with 2.5" collector now with J's Racing 60mm race exhaust with one muffler. Just got myself a new Skunk2 Race 70mm exhaust system and hopefully fitting them next week.

Now i'm saving for a SMSP or Hytech header.

Ooppss... This is on DC2.
