So yesterday I replaced my brake booster and fuel filter. When I was driving to workt his morning, after the car had warmed up my idle would drop to the white line right before 0 causing my engine to shake. Also, there was a strange smell (not a burning smell) coming into the car. I opened my hood and noticed there was a lot of air coming from/around the valvle cover. Can you guys help me out?

not sure brotha, my car does the same thing... the idle seems to drop pretty low but i can't seem to figuer out why. it only does this when i come to a complete stop. the motor doesnt shake but it idles very low. i have checked the idle screw inside the the intake manifold but still no luck. i have a sinngle cam though ... i would like some feed back too if anyone whas had this problem... my valve cover doesnt leak air though or at least i have never noticed that. some help would be nice....

 

my accord did the same thing. i check my idle screw but instead they told me to tighten it. it made it a little higher but it shakes occasionally or especially when i turn on my AC. try to tighten it more.

 

i've tried that and it dont work.... thanks
