bb6 prelude running problem
Hey whats up everyone.... got a few issues with a 5th gen.....
car will run fine all day.... but if I get on it, it like shuts off or jumps like bad gas kinda feeling.... and when it shuts off it takes a few cranks to start again it will putter and either start and die, putter and back fire out of the intake, or just start and stay on....
someone told me to put some B12 in it on my next fuel up, but wanted to see if anyone else had some suggestions, thanks

it's backfiring out of the intake?
as it when you put your hand over your intake pipe it's BLOWING air out instead of sucking air in?
what mods have you done to the car?
need some more information
if the car was completely stock I would say check the plugs and wires
the only thing I could think off is when you get on it the plugs aren't sparking or burning the fuel and you are flooding the engine with mass amounts of fuel and it dies.
then when you try and restart it the plugs are soaked with gas for it takes a few cranks and when it does work all that gas get exploded and if there is too much gas it might cause a backfire out the intake but I'm not even sure that would be possiable
if the above is true you need to fix this asap becuase that would cause some major engine damage, don't get on it till you fix this problem.
by B12 do you mean vitamin B12? like the stuff people take to get energy? I have never heard of anyone putting that in a gas tank and can't see how it would help at all, that someone seems to be misinformed unless there is some age old super secret tip I have never heard of, and I have heard a lot of things being mix with gas in the persuit of octane boosting.
what octane gas are you running atm and what have you ben running?

well I never put my hand in front of the manifold to see if it's backfiring but thats what it seems like.... and I just bought the car, I believe it was running on the low stuff but I've been using premium in it since I got it a week in a half ago.... cuz thats what it says use... and it started prob a week ago and I didn't use the b12, but b12 is another kinda of fuel injection cleaner, I bought some SeaFoam cuz thats what people told me to use instead....

okay it would cut off when ever I got on it... but
I got a AEM short ram from a friend so I took off the old intake and put the new one on, and took it around the block and on the high way a few times, hit vtec a couple time and its idleing and everything seems to be fine now. could that of been all it was?
