4th gen suspension setup HELP
I plan on spending $750-1000 on my suspension whats a good setup to run. I was looking at Tein, koni, ksport. Do I just need to install shocks and struts or is there more to the suspension. Im a noob to suspension. Help
There is a lot more to suspension and I am sure the guys over in the suspension forum know a lot. A "good setup" really depends on what you will be doing with the car. OEM Honda parts are a good balance between sport and comfort for daily driving. More than likely what you gain in performance from a suspension upgrade you will sacrifice in comfort. Let us know what type of racing you are going to be doing or if you just want a more aggressive setup for the street.
my favorite thing talk about. it depends on what you want to do with the car. but my opinion is konis with ground control you can go wrong. reason
1. can adjust hieght
2. rebuildable struts
3. custom spring rates
4. struts can also be customized
5 they also sell top hats that allow konis struts to fully uncompress when the car is lower with will allow to last longer.
2nd part you should buy is top hats the total package is like 900 to 1000 bucks depending where you go i recommend one of the dealers on the forums.

My main goal is to lower it an 1inch or so and better handling. I know I could just get lowering springs but I dont want to half *** it. Im willing to give a little on road comfort.
In that case just get new shocks (cheap KYB, Tokico) with a springs package (Eibach Pro kit would be a good option). It will be lower 1" -1,5" still a great comfort and handle better then stock.

Check into Koni, KYB, or Tokico struts, probably in that order. As far as the drop you want, from what I've read here and having tried the Eibach Pro's, do some research into the Tein S. Tech. That is probably the only thing I will ever go with in the future if cost is any concern.

If you're not planning to slam your car, I'd recommend an inexpensive setup like Tokico blues (shocks and springs combo). The entire setup can be had for around $300-500. They lower your car 1.5" front and back. I currently have them on my car, and the ride is great.

The pics I have right now are very blurry (camera phone). Once I get cleaner pics, I'll post a close up of my wheel well.
