I'm having a hard time removing the clips on the windshield cowl. How do I remove the clips without breaking them? Part number 21 in this picture.

 

Aren't those "Pry-n-Pull" type of Clips? (I have a 96-00...)

EDIT:
As in... Use a Panel Popper or Plastic Knife to seperate the two pices of the Cap. After doing this, the Lower portion will slip out of the hole.

 

Yeah, just pry them out. Just go slowly and on different sides of the clips. Sometimes the plastic hardens with age, so they will break regardless.

The clips aren't that expensive, and sometimes you can pick up some aftermarket clips from auto windshield/glass shops for cheap.
