Default 89 crx- front support

My friend has a salvaged 89 crx. It t-boned another car and messed the front end up pretty bad. The front support behind the bumper is bent inward and it pulled the framerails inward a few inches. Other than that the car is almost perfect with only 29,000 miles. We replaced the radiator today and everything works great. Is it ok to leave the front support off or is it a structural piece. Im pretty sure it is since it bolts right to the front of the frame rails but im just checking. Thanks

yes you can run without a front bumper support if you wish.

the lower front cross member is a much different story.
