need help on type r head

Default need help on type r head

how can you tell the diffrence between a b16/gsr/itr head besides the cast number pr3

gsr is not stamped pr3, its p72. but the itr would have a mild port, more agressive cams i also believe the valvesprings have got a yellow stamp on them

i bought a type r head w/ no cams it has a stamp on it that says pr3 on the
intake manifold and on the head is it a true itr head?

their is a year stamped on it near the pr3 stamp. i belive it above th 1st and second exhaust port (dont quote me on that) what year does it state? it most likely a type r head though

also what does it say after pr3? it should be like pr3-1 or pr3-4 or something to that nature

The water neck for a GsR is at the front (closer to the exhaust side) and the combustion chamber shape is smaller/different.

ITR head is a B16 head, except ported and with different intake valves and valve springs.

ITR intake manifold is stamped P73
