No, the Canadian Si is not an EM1. It's an EJ8 (USDM Civic EX). The Canadian EM1 is an SiR Coupe.

EJ8 = D16Y8 (SOHC VTEC)
EM1 = B16A2 (DOHC VTEC)

Care to post a picture of that? Because I call bullshit.

The EM1 (USDM Si / CDM SiR) was the only car that ever came in Electron Blue Pearl. It was a special edition color for a special edition car.

He's right. I've seen a few electron blue Si (US EX) in my city. I think it's only on the 99-00 though.

Like I said, post some pictures. I've seen plenty of EBP cars of every different year and trim .... but they all had paintjobs.

If it's a US Si and the motor doesn't look like this:

Either it's Canadian or doesn't have the original motor.

That's not a USDM Si my friend...

You can even notice the VIN on your firewall is an EJ8

But yes, that is a SOHC VTEC engine.

Yea, in usdm SOHC motors, the vtec isnt near as loud as an average DOHC VTEC motor.

It's a CDM Si. It's New Vogue Silver Metalic, and it's an EJ8.
