I drive a 98 Prelude automatic/tiptronic. 2day i started my car up after a few hours and i drove it down the block it seemed fine after i hit a stop light i tried to accelerate into 1st gear the car wouldnt move unless i floored the car then it would barely move and the RPM's would b at 5k. In reverse the car didnt move also unless i floored it. Do you think my transmission is bad? the car has 109k on it. ne opinions will b helpful.

Those transmissions are notorious for problems.

nope.. when someone w/ 6k posts tells u.. its like a lazer beam. ur tranny is dead. gl w/ the auto to manual conversion.

 

make sure your tranny fluid hasn't leaked out also - at that mileage the rubber hoses at the radiator portion of the tranny cooler may be shot.
