Someone didn't know what they were talking about.

Just like that kid that said he loved the integra for its "rally front end"

DC1 is what is reffered to non GSR and Type-R models in Japan. According to couple of websites they come with a ZC engine.

I've seen pictures of Integas with single cam engines stock in Japan. I think it was a ZC code engine although I haven't ever heard much of them. Who knows, a nice front end is a nice front end.

are you sure?

Maybe it's DC1 + B18C = DC2, or DC1 + B18B = DC4

that's a 94-95 JDM Integra, which had the same front end as USDM. The 96-up DC1 chassis had the same JDM front end (with chrome headlights) that so many people jock on here.

Japan didn't adopt airbag requirements as early as we did here. Type R's either had an airbag or a hole for an airbag with a block-off tray.

The JDM SiR, SiR-G, and Type R were all DC2 chassis also. It wasn't limited to US only.

WOW, the interior for that 94-97 integra is like USDM 98-01 interior, I didn't even know they had those front ends in Japan. i guess it's true they have everything ahead of us a little bit, for an older car that looks pretty damn new,,, expletive USDM

Nope. Only 93.5-95 model years in Japan got the 4-eyed front end.

Nah it was called Si-VTEC (the JDM version of the GS-R). I had it wrong.

Here's an Integra time line off the Japanese Honda website, if anybody can read Japanese:

*edit*
n/m there was an Integra SiR along with the SiR-G that came out sometime around 1998, according to the Japanese Honda site. My guess is it had the B18B engine.

1993.5 Integra Si-VTEC:

Here we have a 96-model year 4-door 1.6L Xi-G Integra, with the "JDM" front end:

And the 96-spec Type R:

Another 4-door 1.6L Integra, this time a 1998 model year. Notice the Type R front lip and rear wing. Kinda like a 1.6L GS or Special Edition (sporty looks but crappy motor)

And the 98-spec Type R:

I think you are mistaken. R's definately had smooth dashes without SRS. This is Jeremy.'s 98 spec.

Edit: Aren't airbag trays a CDM market item?

That appears to be a 96-spec, with no driver side airbag either.

I'm willing to bet the 98-spec cars with driver side airbag had a passenger side airbag, also.
