I am thinking about getting the DFI system off of a friend of mine that is selling it, I am kind of curious as to how well the system works compared to other stand alones, i.e Hondata, Power FC, that use the factory harnesses, or even other systems that don't like Haltech, Motech etc.......

The accel DFI is great. Which one is it? how long ago did he buy it? they changed a few things I believe in late 2001. I dont remember what it was but the kit before that didnt have some sensors or sumthing. nothing super important i believe.

If you have a place that can tune the ACCEL and you can get it at a good price, then go for it. if not, look for a Engine management system that a place in your are knows how to tune.

its great. I use it.

the system i use is the version 6 which is the older version. the newer is easier to program since it uses Graphs like Haltech does etc instead of quantities. In all honesty? It really doesn't matter which you use if your not doing the tuning yourself. Pretty much it makes it easier for the tuner but both will do what you need them to do.
