Update on my R
I think most of you will remember my car getting backed into almost 3 weeks ago by my friends brother-in-law.

She is getting painted tomorrow (thursday) here is how it sits in the paint booth. They ended up fixing this quarter panel thank god. I really didn't want them to have to put another one on and lose my vin #. I ended up making my mind up to just paint the whole side of the car since the fender on this side had been painted once before and didn't match the door. No better time than now to do it. Also getting re-done is my front lip and side skirt.
Should have it back Friday or Monday

THURSDAY 7-12 PAINTED!!!!!!!
Went down to look at her painted and get the balance of the other work I had done that wasn't on the insurance. Just waiting on the ITR panel decal and I will have the car back tomorrow and the decal will be here sometime next week.

What are the condition of the rest of the car's paint? Just curious because the newer paint may outshine the rest of the car. If the old paint is stil glossy and bright..then it shoulnd't be a problem.

Since they didn't have to replace the panel it went from $3,600 down to $1,700 plus a few hundred out of my pocket to do the extras.

It's just the picture. The body line was the first thing I looked at when I walked in there. It's mint

Am I the only person who would rather lose the VIN and get a new quarter panel than getting a patch of whatever that size?
Glad you are getting it fixed and looks like you will have it back soon.

Nope.
Progress looks good, minus the paint it almost looks brand new.

I need to go get an estimate on my quarter panel for real. I've got a fist sized dent at the edge of the panel by the door. Its got some rust which I'm hoping is just surface rust.
