Engine Swap 92 Integra LS
Hi, i have a 1992 acura integra ls, and i do not want to do a frankenstein engine, just a clean engine swap. i have about 3000 to spend on the swap which im doing with a friend, what engine swaps would you recommend, and what extra parts would i need to buy in order to complete it like (wiring harness, mounts, shift linkage, axles) all that stuff....if at all possible, i was hoping to swap in a engine that would only require a ecu change over and wiring harness. what suggestions do u have, thanks so much.
Do whatever you can afford. For 3k you can get ur bottom end rebuilt, all new parts, add a vtec head and you can have yourself a pretty cheap LS/VTEC. Then you will still have money left over to enjoy for the summer.
Rebuild:
New Oem Oil Pump $120
Oem Rings $120
Water Pump & Tbelt $150 ( on h-t )
All New Gasket's $200?
VTEC Head? $600 Complete?
VTEC Conversion Kit $200?
Bearings $200 oem?
You get the idea..
You can use your stock harness and make the necessary changes for vtec, etc. Mounts, Linkage, axles.. you retain ur stock ones.
