Default Cat-back help needed.

Recieved my Skunk2 cat-back 70mm exhaust in today.. Took off all the exhaust from the cat back, went to install the Skunk2 exhaust.. And it doesn't bolt up to the factory cat.. Any suggestions?

Edit: Forgot to mention it was an EP3, if that matters.

should be able to bolt right up to the stock cat with no hassle

rev4ever has experienced with that exact same exhaust, no problems from his side besides the burning of the rear lip

i had the same problem with the melting of the lip but i have an apex i, maybe someone who had your car last changed something or you ordered the wrong one, but if worse come to worse find the flange that fits your cat and weld it to your exhaust.

when you say it doesn't bolt up to the factory cat you mean what? Is the b-pipe section too short? is the flange a different bolt pattern?? please provide a little more information.

I'm going to take a guess ... but since it is a EP3 ... I'm guessing the exhaust is not long enough ... meaning it is designed for the EP3 Type R. This can be resolved by running a RSX Type S header/cat ... or a race header ... etc.

FullEP3 posted my first guess.

Take some pics and show us what you've got so far.

Exactly, very good system besides the melting problem on the 05-06's rear lip.
