REALLY BAD night for me at E-town...need advice now
Well, my nitrous did me in last night...I'd rather not discuss it, but ....during my first and only run everything was fine until third gear--I felt a loss of power. I immediately let off the gas and the engine began to sputter. I crossed the line (still ran a 16.1 @ 74 mph) and then went to park. Pulled out all the plugs--1 and 3 were completely melted. I had a fresh set and popped them in (I was hoping that's all it was) cranked her up and same thing. The engine was shaking really bad. My stomach turned with a feeling of anger and disgust. I was sooo friggin' pissed.
--This morning, I cranked her up and saw the white smoke from the tailpipe
--I then checked the plugs again and #3 had oil all over it.
--I then ran a compression test on all the pistons and #3 had ZERO compression.
Now, I should look at this as a learning experience, but what should I do. I am on a budget so what would you guys do in my situation as far as replacing the internals. I figure I could go with stronger stuff, but there's the money issue. I don't know, some ideas would help...

Man, sorry to hear it Bro
I guess you first need to assess the real damage.
If the block is damaged badly, and money is an issue. Maybe you should look for something stock used cheap. If you have the time and money... build it new and stronger.
Good luck whatever you do...
Miguel

Your car probably has a cracked piston. Maybe it swallowed a valve.
Replacing the short/longblock might be cheaper than repairing it with new pistons.
Good luck.
