91 hatch, wire tucked B16, no tail lights? looking for some help.
Hey guys, looking for some insight and i hope you guys can help me out.
A while back i finished up a b16 swap into a 91 ef for a buddy of mine. We completed a wire tuck in the engine bay and converted the car to obd1.
before the car came to me, it had been stripped down and sent off for paint and body work, and then there was a 6 month down time period while my buddy came up with the cash to do the swap, before any of the motor work was done.
Now once the swap was done, he notified me and told me that he had no tail lights, after the car was completed.
The car had functioning:
turn signals both left and right
bumper lights
corner lights
brake lights
low beam lights (front)
high beam lights (front)
but he had no tail lights or 3rd brake light.
We have since gone over the wiring, from the combo switch all the way back to the tail light circuits, and rechecked the wire tuck, but havent found anything that would cause a failure in the tailights (or so it seems anyway)
if there is anyone out there that can lend a hand, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys!

We checked the the grounds and did a continuity test on the tail section harness, but didnt check the hatch harness.
ill go over that this weekend and see what we come up with.

Sounds crazy but have you checked the actually light bulbs. Both my tail lights burned out at almost the same time. It confused me until I check the bulbs and I saw they were burned out. Good Luck
