Transmission question????
hey wass up guys, I got a 90 accord EX-R 5 speed and about a week ago the car started to give me a problem.
Simptom:
after 50 km the car starts to bounce but just when I press the gas pedal and depend how hard I press the gas pedal is how hard the car bounces or shakes .
I dont think that the car needs aligment and balancing because this started when I was driving the car on the freeway when I slowed down because of the traffic and before that the car was good.
Ok here is the thing two mecanics said that it can be transmission, drive shaft, tires(I all ready changed the tires), and that 95% sure that its the differential, and its better if I get another transmission.
My question is if I get another transmission, do I have to get the same as mine or can be any other 90 accord model??

The 90 accord is notorious for bad countershafts! The countershaft bottom bearing surface disintigrates over time and will cause a variety of issues depending on how long it has been in that condition. I would get it to a shop and have all other parts ruled out before pointing to the transmission. Eliminate all the easy obvious things first. As far as what transmission to use...any 90-93 will work fine. Try to get a 92-93....the bearing problem is not an issue on those. You can also use a 94-97 but, you will need to change the stud location on the maincase to match yours. Good luck!
hi.... anyone can help me on transmission issue.
i have H22a engine with its transmission inside Accord CB3 (SM4) - newly converted. the problem is that the offsett of the front wheels and the transmission is very huge. this will caused the dry-shaft bent. it should be in 180 deg. position.
What is the transmission (gear-box) that can fit to the H22a engine? can I use the Accord 94' ( 2.2 Vtec ) transmission?
Pls help.... regards.
