90 DA Question !! Any Ideas??

My friend has a 90 Acura LS and car boggs hard when taking off and makes popping noise ... what can it be? Once it gets past 2000rpm its feels fine. Any ideas on what to check would help ... thanks in advance

car throwing any codes? maybe try changing the spark plugs and wires
