Default spare

Does anybody know whether a full-size spare will fit in the compartment? Something close? I hate the funky size spare, so I'd really like a full size if possible

i doubt it, but why not just test and see if one of your normal wheels fit in there?

What's wrong with the compact spare that causes you to hate it?

the idea that I'd actually have to use it. I do a lot of long distance drives, and truly prefer to drive at night. The idea of having to use a spare while hundreds of miles away from any city to have the original fixed can be rather problematic. If I can fit a full size spare in the space, it would greatly ease my mind is all.

You should certainly try to do whatever puts your mind at ease, but you should be aware that the compact spare is far more robust than you give it credit for.

if you hate the small spare so much, go get the flat tire spray thingy .. forgot what its called..

basically if you have a puncture, it'll temp seal and inflate. "fix a flat?" ... not sure

It is "Fix-a-flat" but don't use it. Some places won't reuse your rim with "fix-a-flat" on it. It's a very glue like substance and it will throw the tire completely out of balance until it gets fixed. And if you break down the tire yourself to put a new one on, have fun cleaning it off your rim.

Try putting a flat fullsize tire in the compartment and keep a portable air compressr in your glove box.
