GSR ecu??
Ok, I'm thinking of selling my JDM 2nd Gen B16a and swapping in a JDM B18c GSR. But I wanna use a OBD2A GSR ecu. Since all the GSR ecu's are P72. HOW can I tell which P72 is OBD2a, OBD2b (immobilizer), or OBD1.
GSR obd2a = P72
GSR obd2b = P72
GSR obd1 = P72
^ what the expletive.

" Now the OBD2 ECU pictured is version "a". The difference between version "a" and version "b" is the order of the plugs. If you look at the picture you notice the first one is used, the second one is skipped and the remaining two are used. On version "b" of OBD2 ECU's the first three are used and the last one is not. "

They all have different style ecu connectors. And if your going to be using a OBD2B P72 in your civic then you will have to swith the fuel pump turn on wire at the ecu (re-pin). Personally with that engine I think you would be happier with a skunk2 manifold and a PCT (CTR) Obd2A ECU if you want to stick with OBD2.
SWEET!! Thanks. Ok next question, If I were to get the GSR engine and bought a skunk2 or blox type r style IM for the GSR engine can I just run a P73 type r ecu??I know the cams are different between the R and GSR but shouldn't it run good with the P73 ecu?
