Default spraying heat shield

how hard is it to take out the head shield? i was planning on spraying it flat black w/ high-temp paint just for the hell of it. will this work?

and if you think i'm crazy say it. i'm not thinking straight right not =P

its not hard, but takes time.

i would suggest cleaning it off with aircraft cleaner.

You're not crazy I sprayed mine and it looked really nice. On my car all i had to do was remove a few bolts and disconnect my o2 sensor. Here is a pic of mine before I got my header.

Hey HOw you paint the black valve cover.. I want it and I dont like polish on my valve cover.. I want to paint black because most of the turbo piping are black.. I want to match the pipe and valve cover.. Tell me what kind of paint and how high the temp can handle the heat on the valve cover.. Thanks

I just painted my headshield right on the damn header. I just covered up some parts with some towels and sprayed away. Just pic up some high temp paint at an auto store and you are set.

i painted mine the same color as my valve cover....as said above is best to use aircraft cleaner.....then go to work.....turned out prtty good
