Default 92 f22a1 lude dirt car

Ok, I know this is not the optimal dirt car for hornet racing, but when your requirements require no vtec, stock internals, no power adder, fwd car....and its cheap it works. I will be racing against four cylinder probes, eclipse's, neons, and other hondas. How can I make this car faster and stay somewhat legal? It will be stripped with a cage...shoot me any tricks. Mustang guy here.

put an h23 in it and get some nice bolt ons for it. that f22 will never make good power.

if you can use all oem internals and build a motor I'll have something better for you, but I'm not sure of your rules

Keep the F22 and put an H23 transmission on it . Then grab a $30 eBay intake. Have you already removed things like AC and cruise control?

No external modifications at all, internals will probably be a better bet here, but a h23 tranny will do better than the f series one. Keep in mind I will be trying to maintain 60 mph around a round 1/4 mile dirt track ( not really any banking) sounds easier than it is. I would consider going a h23 head on this block? any good. I work with one hell of a honda guy, anyone with a 12 sec all motor del sol stock interior is good in my book.

I know they are not allowed, but dirt racers are another breed...pending a tear down of my motor I will be fine.

anyone more? I know the head has been "pocket ported" and that the intake on it is port matched....everything else is pretty stock.

I got a couple extra h23 heads if you one one, or a spare h23 motor with a knocking rod. cheap.
