Default 2000 Ducati 750 Super Sport

2000 Ducati 750 SS! Great condition - almost mint. Never downed, never abused, adult owned. Oil changed every 1000 miles. New front tire, rear has about 60% left on it. Carbon Feracci slip-ons, power commander, K & N air filter! Bike has 5322 miles on it. New battery! Oil is synthetic! I'm asking 4500.00! That's 1000.00 below book value. This bike has been maintained with love and care. I don't ride hard or fast. I just cruise and take it easy. So what I have here is a bike that is like new for half the price. Call Jim at 406-546-#### or reply by email.

no hawkers i want it first!
Yea this will be my first supersport bike. I really wanted a Honda cuz i'm a Honda guy. but for 4500$ it seems like a duc isn't a bad thing... really really good price in my area, esp. since most of the honda's of comparable size are going for more (1999 Honda 600 is going for 7500$...and it gets worse!) the duc is great looking, and since i'm in montana its only been ridden 3 months of the year... (pretty low mileage for a 2000 i think).

$7500 for a '99 Honda 600? I don't think that's an average number....it sounds like an outlier. Even if that was California, it'd be a highly inflated number.

If you want a Honda, then wait for a Honda.

bikes in montana are unfortunately hugely expensive

search craigslist and you can find some deals, but for the most part they're expensive toys

What's the state's laws on buying an out-of-state motorcycle and registering it there?

If motorcycles actually sell for such a huge markup, maybe I need to get into mc-sales in Montana.

not sure, their is no tax in montana either, you buy the bike for the sale price.
you can't really find used bikes easily in montana, you either have to buy new, or look in newspaper classifieds. truth is the only people who buy bike's here pretty much don't get rid of them, because they either a.) are young and wreck them or b.) are old enough to afford to keep every bike they ever buy.

you can only ride 3 months of the year, so their really is no reason to buy and sell bikes like crazy if your just a regular joe. and dealerships up here just bone you

Then it sounds like you may be better off purchasing a bike from out of state and registering it in Montana.
