just landed a sweet deal on a clean cb7. only paid $1900. one small dent and paint is decent. car runs like new.... very clean interior also.
one thing that concerns me is the timing belt! i bought the car with 102k from an auction! i really don't know if it's been replaced yet (highly doubt it though)
I REALLY DON'T have $600 so a mechanic can replace my timing belt!
is replacing the timing belt a fairly simple procedure for a first timer?

$600? Slap the person charging that much.
My old shop used to charge around $300 for parts and labor (timing belt/water pump/labor) for the average 90's Honda.
Not too hard. Time consuming and make sure you have the right tools. Get a manual and see if it's above your knowledge/skill.
