My friend just put B16A cams in his 2000 Gsr. I was wondering if the B16A cams would give him any power or would it actually give him less power. Let me know guys is this a good idea or a bad idea?

 

Less power...The GSR cams have more duration. BTW wht did he put b16a cams in his car

 

not a chance in hell.....unless they are CTR cams or ITR cams (as ITR's have B16 heads)

I know this is a dumb question but my friend does stupid things like this sometimes because he thinks he can get horsepower for free. I remember one time he put a little electric fan under the hood and had the fan pointing at the short ram intake. He told me it was a cold air intake. I was like wtf? And I couldn't stop laughing. I wish I could have taken a picture of it. I wasn't sure what the difference in lift and duration was between the two cams. But I didn't think it would give him any power. That's why I asked you guys. Anyways thanks for the help.
