Default DC Sports Ceramic Header Wrap Question..

I have an h22a i/h/e

it seems so be holding alot of heat under the hood. and plus the header isn't that great looking lol.

i've seen some people on here that have wrapped their header, they've held mousture and destroyed the header.

I was just wondering what type of header you could wrap and if you could wrap the dc sport ceramic header.
But another thing is that the hood that i have (CF Invader hood) it has the hood breather and im jsut worried that if i wrapped the header it would be pretty easy for water to get in and destroy them..

You confirmed this how?

More than likely, your header will crack with the header wrap.

The higher-end headers will be fine with the header wrap. The welds on the Greddy headers look good too, so they might be fine with the wrap too.

I really wouldn't wrap any ceramic header, I'd stick with stainless if you want to wrap.

There's your answer there...the wrap will hold in moisture and start to rust & corrode your header.

stainless holds up better to corrosion but most manifold materials will corrode eventually with a wrap.

there's got to be a material out there that doesn't trap moisture, but keeps heat in. Pink insulation almost does it but pink doesn't quit fit in an engine compartment unless its the Barbie mobile
