Does anybody have information as to when the new 225/50/15 azenis come out? I though it was suppose to be this spring?

i'm not sure if they are the NEW rt615s and they were a different size but vulcan tire says backordered till early august. Just call one of the distrubuters.

 

are u sure u arent looking for the 225/50/16? cuz im lookin at the falken tire chart and dont see anything in that size.

That's why he asked. Because 225/50-15 is not available now. That's why it's not on the chart.

 

i had asked falken about this wayyy back in the day when the 615 just came out, they said they will be releasing it "soon", then after a few months of asking, they told me there's not enough interest at this time to produce this size, i;m assuming that might still be the case now?

 

well i work at a place were we sell nothing but falken so let me see if i can get a date or something to help you out.

why is the 225/50/16 listed before the 215/45/16?

is it really 225/50/15?

50 is kinda big for a 16" rim

There is no 225/50-15.

There's no law about what order tires are listed in. The specs list 205/40-17 after 245/45-17, too.

There's no relationship between the aspect ratio and the rim diameter. For example, 205/50-16 is a very common tire size for 16" wheels, for Preludes and '01-05 Civics.

 

i have a question about the 205/50R15s when mounted on the rim i heard that the sidewall should not bubble out and it should be flush with the rim lip. does it matter? if you get what i mean

Well, that depends on the rim width, but in any case, it doesn't matter.

 

thanks so basically... if they 205/50R15s are going on a 15 inch rim its pretty much alright

Every tire has a range of approved rim widths. Let me take a wild guess, you are trying to put those tires on 15X8s?
