Default testing for bent valves

well want to pick up motor and i want to test if its good. Im being told that i dont need to due to their 6 mo warranty. But i want to see how everything is because i want to waste my money for the parts that i paid for an engine thats no good.
Like turning that crank pulley couple of times, compression and leakdown test ill be ok ?
Also what number am i suppose to see on a compression test i know when comparing them w/ rest of the cylinders they have to be close.

you are correct, a leak down test would let you know the status of the valves. as for the numbers u want to see on a compression test, well, that vaies from motor to motor. whichever numbers u get, u want them to be with in 15 psi of each other

if u get poop for compression on the cylinders, try dripping some motor oil in and doing it again. if the numbers come up, your rings are shot.
