Okay, I will be going to the exhaust shop soon, and i would like to know what parts of the down pipe needs to be replaced to make it to a 2.5 inch collector. Is it the section after the flex pipe that needs to be replaced? Or the section before the flex pipe? OR do I have to get the section where the 2 pipes meet to 1, cut? I have a MR header Heat wrapped, on a JDM H22a

Also if i remove my cat and put a 22" resonator instead with a OBX muffler, will i have black smoke coming out my exhaust while driving normally. Will it create a bad scent when driving? And is it guarantied I will have the Vtec puff of black smoke?

My car doesn’t smoke at all now but I have a CAT in.

If i have my cat removed or gutted out, will I have a constant carb, and gas smell during normal driving, or is it recommended to keep your cat... if you have a Daily driver

 

simple, dont gut the cat or remove it.

and yes....it will smell of the pollutants that the cat is supposed to convert.
