The body of an ITR is different, although it looks the same as a GS-R. Notably, there are sections of the rear body of the ITR (the shock towers) that are thicker metal than on the other Integra line.
The 1996 (four bolt JDM) and 1997 (all market) DC2 ITR were extremely expensive for Honda to make. There was hand work involved with the heads, and the bodies were moved around by small truck for the cars to be finished.
The 1998 model year saw more economical ways of making the ITR, but they were still very expensive to make relative to what Honda charged the dealers for the cars.

More caR fact. This one taken straight from Wikipedia site:
"An interesting and little publicised fact about the 1996-2001 DC2 Type R is that Honda lost money on every single vehicle sold, even though extra dealer markups sometimes made for excessive dealer profit. Honda produced the DC2 Type R for homologation purposes to meet FIA certification of the motor and the chassis changes to make the car more competitive in N-series and World Cup racing. The details required, hand tooling in early versions and finishing the product through the use of various small fabrication shops in Japan made for increased costs in manufacture that could not be made up in the list price of the vehicles. Honda (and Acura in the US) deemed the car important for the marque's image and important for the racing programmes of the era, and the parent company therefore accepted a financial net loss on each vehicle sold."
For those who think the DC2R caRs are just cheap caR, yes, they are cheap on the price tags but they carry big value as good as those $30K-$40K sport cars

Some come from the factory with all the Integra Type R goodies - the engine, the five-lug hubs and wheels, the stickers, etc. Each of those is called an Integra Type R.
Others come from the factory as a GS-R. People put the stickers and the wing on them to make it look like a real ITR. Each of those is called a Poser.

Lol. It's funny how on Honda-Tech, I ask a question and people make fun of me because of my grammar. This isn't English class; It's a forum so I didn't think I would have to worry about my grammar because English is my second language. So for the people who answered my question, thank you. And for the people that made fun of my grammar, here i typed in perfect English for you.

So next time. think before you say something.
Thanks again for the people who helped my simple question without problems.

Holy ^&*# you're lame. I don't care if English is your 19th language--you're on an English-language based forum, learn to post clearly.
And, no, you didn't type in perfect English. Type clearly, or GTFO. This isn't the civic forum. (
