Hey,

I just blew the tranny in my 99 lude and I was wondering would I be able to put a 4th gen prelude transmission in my car? Is the 5th gen prelude transmission better than the 4th or are there no difference?

Also would I be able to put an SH tranny in my car even though my car isn't an SH?

 

The gearing on the 4th Gen tranny is better than the 5th Gen tranny. By better, I mean more performance oriented.

I thought that it is better to have shorter gears so you can accelerate faster? But the 4th gen has longer gears right?

 

it doesnt matter, to me they are both the same even tho its easier to find a 4th gen tranny than newer

What exactly happened to "blow it up" are we talkin gears fallin out and rollin down the highway or does it just not shift right?
