Default A little fun with sheet metal

I had a few days off, and was bored, and drunk...still am. So here's what I created after dropping a good $8 at home depot

Believe it or not, in these 95+ degree temps, ive felt a huge difference since its sucking more cold air from the lower intake duct ive fabbed up.

Notice the ghetto fab engine mounts, poly reinforced by huge 2" washers on both sides. The engine will never move.

Getting ready to polish the Carbon fiber Mugen wing

I started a minor wire tuck as well. Going to relocate the bat, I ripped out the PCV system, fabricated my own catch can with a $5 target soap dispenser (looks very nice- brushed aluminum can) Just need to clean the bay. Replacing all M6's with Stainless steel alan bolts that sit flush with the surface.

I can see how it would only suck in more cold air. Great fabrication.

(what was it that you removed to have that amount of space to the right of the radiator?)

The A/C, Power Steering and the brackets. I routed most of the wires in the fenders, fuse box to the glove compartment

Good job. Give the "POST YOUR CUSTOM PARTS" thread a bump and add your custom airbox into it.

Always thought about doing this.

i've always tried to make the enclosure, but always get too lazy and scrap it. This time I slammed a few power drinks, busted out the tape measure, dremel and tin clips and did it right. Im not done yet, im actually gonna seal it all up, so it doesnt suck any air in from the bay, and have a little door to pull up, and slide the filter out.

You should fab it so you can throw lots of ice and Beer in it.

Cool Ice Air Intake
and later Cold Beer Intake
