How long has it been since you've done regular maintenance? How old is the distributor cap, spark plug/wires?

Hmm, I'm really not qualified to give you a definite answer on that. Wait for someone else to drop some advice.

Sry.

I would at least pull your cap and rotor off and inspect them. You can get a rotor for like $10.00 or less at an auto parts store and just clean the tabs in the cap if it's not bad and see how that goes.

You may just have moisture in the cap too. I know the MSD cap that was on our car was cracked and the rotor was awful so I just got an Autozone rotor, super glued the crack in the cap and it ran fine afterwards. I did get a new cap but you still have to drill a hole in it to hook it up to an exterior coil (which I don't know if you have) but moisture in the dizzy will cause problems with how the car runs.

Easy check and cheap fix.

Hope this helps you.

Beings you just bought the car in April. Checking what I mentioned above and changing the fuel filter are all easy repairs, part of PM, and not expensive. Changing the fuel filter will give you comfort that it's not an issue becasue you know it's new and never hurts While your at it, check the air filter too.

It's a used car, It's new to you, start with the basic's and learn your car

It can also be a matter of a dirty IACV. Did the car idle fine when you purchased it?

I'd still say start with the basic's at least inspect them.
