Just picked up an 89 lxi (pics inside )
Hey guys I found this 89 lxi in a guys yard. I was amazed because it was a one owner car with 80,680 miles NO RUST, timing belt done it just needs some TLC but I only paid $1000 for it. It runs great but I think with some fresh oil new plugs and wires surely will make quite a difference. Give me some thoughts, is it worth it?? I personally think the car has a lot of potential for under $1500 and should run for quite awhile. I have an 06 350Z that I am trying to keep the miles off.

Nice car! Build it!
And that Z is way too sexy. I was about to get one of those.
BTW I think that DC5 is attracted to your LXi. It parks on one side, then on the other. Better watch out!

Hey thanks for all the great comments guys, actually I spotted this car a few months ago and asked the guy about it and he said it was hit out front of his house. I looked a little closer and realized all it needed was some new lug studs, lugs, battery, a side mirror and some new moldings. He told me he was not ready to sell it yet because he bought it new and it had such low miles he might have it repaired. So 6 months go buy and the car is still sitting there I knock on the door again and same story not ready yet. So about a week ago (7 mos later) I get a call saying he's ready to let it go so I went and picked it up the next day. I have to say after driving the car for a week I love it It's so great to get in a car and just put it in drive and not really worry about where I park or rocks hitting my car on the Turnpike. I think I am going to appreciate my Z a little more now since I don't have to drive it every day. Again thanks for all the nice comments and I look forward to communicating with you Honda guru's.
Sounds like a great car, just keep it the way it is. Maybe paint the other moldings like the ones on the windows. Or find the OEM wheels for that model accord or something.
^^^^^^^ thanks man and sorry to hear about your problems with the dealership. I personally would have set up camp right out front of the dealer and told every customer coming in and out what happened. Maybe some picket signs too.
