Default would you guys buy a crate motor for a honda?

i cant make a poll since i do not have permisson to vote......?

but i was working on my friends rust bucket of a chevelle then he mentions a crate motor i like the concept of a brand new motor built b someone and sent out, i belve it would be superior to hondamotorsonline.com used japaensese motors

so what im planning is

-Dart block -2500 ish
-dart race head b18c gsr cnc - 3500
-cp pistons stock dome- 900
-moroso pan 500
-gaskets -300
-eagle rods-400
-scat crank- 900
-arp head studs -150
-oem honda bearings -300
-balance and blue print by laskey (same city as i am in)
-assembled by me and a few other guys and we throw a waraanty on it

maybe a stg1 package with

-skunk2 cams
-springs and retainers
-oversize valves

i know theyre alot of flakes and cheaps in the honda world but idk i was thinking about this, i also though dude nobody is going to pay that muvh for a legit longblock becuase in this scene nobody cares if parts are stolen just if they're cheap

all the parts will costs rought 10 grand and we are aiming to not lose money on this idea so maybe around 12,000 shipped

meaning a potential profit of 100-300 dollars

You cannot post a poll because you're only in a "Trial Account".

Im pretty sure most bigger shops probably make and sell H crate motors build to customers specs or to shops own specs.

No, what's the fun of buying when you can build and learn.

if your wondering why people with 10 posts cant make polls its because of threads like this

it looks like your saying you want to sell crate motors for 12k and your gonna buy the blocks from dart but considering Dart sells a crate motor for 10k i highly doubt youd get much business.

add in the fact that your not even doing your own machine work and your going to "throw" in a warranty on machine work you didnt do and parts that you didnt make and i doubt you can honor anyway since your not a business i give this plan half the potential for success than the average "im gonna build manifolds from my garage and sell em on HT" manifold builder has..
