base vs S
ok im arguing with a friend of mine but i just wanted to make sure, so im asking HT, what are the only different internals that are different from the base rsx and the type s.
What Todd was referring to is the fact that this topic has been covered eleventy billion times. You can search out an old thread and get all the answers you need. I hear the stickies at the top of the forum are a good place to start (FAQs especially). It isn't him not knowing, it is him getting sick of answering the same questions over and over again. To be nice I will start with a couple of the main differences and you can figure the rest out from there.
Base RSX:
Engine: K20A3
Transmission: 5 Speed Manual or Automatic
RSX-S
Engine: K20A2 ('02-'04) or K20Z1 ('05-'06)
Transmission: 6 Speed Manual only

i think the bare block is the same while the rods, pistons, head, etc. are all different. if someone were to FULLY build either one than it wouldnt matter if they started with a base or a type S

As I said, search first, then ask specific questions if you have any.
Oh, http://www.acuranews.com
Poke around through the archives, chief.
