As a truly serious debate,

the question is, to those people who know others who steal cars...if they do not report to the cops about it because they are best friends with them, or for whatever reason,

do you feel they are just as bad as the car thieves? likewise, how about the people who buy these stolen items?

how I see it, if i know of people who rape girls, or if i see a raping in progress and have the ability to do something about it, (call the cops) and i dont, i consider myself just as bad.

so...what do you guys think?

 

Not to be a dick, but just to double-check, didn't you see a theft in progress and not do anything to stop the thieves?

 

actually, i called the cops. thats doing something. much like if you see a rape in progress and the guy is wielding a shotgun, do you stupidly approach and ask him to get off the girl?

i think that it really sucks , if some one knows that they are buying stolen parts and they continue to purchase them .

 

I understand where you are coming from, but I think there is a big difference between stealing cars and raping women.


You are right though. If you know someone and do nothing then you are just part of the problem even though you have never stolen anything from anybody. The fact of the matter is that theft occurs everywhere and not just in regards to cars. Its a fact of life that not everyone feels that they have to earn anything, instead they can just obtain it for free. So long as this mentality exists and so long as there is a way to commit this crime and get away with it, no one will feel the need to stop.

I remember when Fuzznuts saw an ITR theft in progress across the street from his house and he did nothing more than call the cops and WATCH the theft happen.

There was a big debate about it long ago.

I thought perhaps he was reinstated and used another name.

And on topic, if I see or hear of any thief in my area believe me they will get found out from the cops sooner than later, and if they don;t then "karma" pays them a visit.
