Default Tweeters in 2000 Civic Si? What can fit in the panels?

What tweeters do you have in place of the stock ones in the front tweeter panels. The Kicker R22's that I have dont fit and I already took out the stock ones!

any 1" tweet should fit, aren't the r22's 1"? If you're trying to get that little cap/cover back on that's a different story. I just wrapped the whole thing in grille cloth (not just the tweet the whole damn thing)and stuck it back in. it looks pretty good.

Well, a 3/4" tweeter will fit flush in the stock location. I've seen JL tweeters fit there perfectly. My 1" MB Quarts fit (but not flush) because it has a hole in the back that allows the screw thingy to attach it there.

If the kicker tweeter doesn't fit, cut a hole in the sail panel for the tweeter cup. Glue it in place. Get some bondo to blend the cup into the factory piece. You can sand it to shape and then prime and paint it. It not too hard to do and will probably make the tweeter sound better too since the tweeter will not be as recessed and the grille that comes with the tweeter may be acoustically transparent and provide better dispersion and off axis performance and stuff. not to mention, it will look somewhat stealth but badass.

Boston Aqcoustic in my Si. 6.5 inch woofer witht tweeter component. Looks stock fits right in.

All you would really have to do with them is cut that plastic that holds the stock tweeter in place and any tweeter should slide right in. Cut it with a sharp butter knife then sand the edges. Try keepin the install clean!
