it should be the same as in my 03. do you have chiltons or hanes manual? cuz that'd be the easiest thing.

but what you need to do is remove the shifter ***. pull the boot and the black plastic that is around it off (it just snaps in) now you should be able to see into the center console where the shifter linkage is. there are four little philips screws (2 on each side) that hold the rest of the molding in and the cup holders. take those out and pull out the trim and cup holders. how you can see in under the dash under the radio. there are 2 or 3 10mm bolts pointing up into the dash board. take those out. now you can pull the radio and all the black plastic around it out. and get to the back of the stereo for hooking up the amp. now simply reinstall everything.

just curiousity what amp and subs are you running? i have a 650W eclipse amp and 2 12" MTX subs

Are you running it from the stock deck? If so you can just tap a high/low to the rear speakers if your using the amp for bass...not as clear and crisp as an aftermarket deck but does the job nicely

no im using a JVC indash dvd player. i havent hooked one up to the stock deck. most cars need a converter to run an amp. there about 30 bucks i think. call circuit city or some place like that and ask them. im installing a sub and amp in my friends 06 cobalt and needed one for that.
