No one said a SOHC couldn't... ****... I think a SOHC could take a Viper if it wanted to. You can do anything to an engine. He prob spent more money to build it than a GSR would cost to hit that 1/4

there's a vid somewhere with a boosted sohc beating a viper. sohc's just cost a lot more money to get those really high numbers and if it's 10sec then most likely it isnt' a daily driver. I personally kno people with DD10sec gsr-t's.
