Fuel pressure up..alot on itbs??
Maybe its because of my street tune, but after originally installing the twms and getting it to idle i set the fuel pressure at 48psi. Granted i have a walbro 225hp fuel pump, and bigger fuel lines and a set of rc 440cc bosch style injectors. Anyway, i noticed yesterday as i was letting the car warm up..and cleaning some **** from under my hood my gauge on the side of my fuel rail was reading somewhere around 90psi..
After some study i found this to be kindof confusing, the car runs fine..great actually..and i really dont see any lost in mpg, i have tuned the partial throttle out.. I took out my 10mm and allen wrench and started to see if i could turn it down, but it wouldn't go down pass 80psi..the needle just started to bunch around a tad..so i turned it back up to 90psi where it held steady.. question is, the nut and everythign was tight, so it didn't move, the gauge is pretty new, about 2 weeks old, and ya i'm wondering if this is from the tune i have on it, currently running 12.9AFR Wot..any input?? i dont want to go threw injector failure..these injectors weren't cheap.

I did..this is a current B&M gauge on here now.. i noticed that lately after the car has actually warmed up it was running around 80~85psi but this is retarded..90psi?? i wonder what could be causing this.. the car doesn't seem to have any problems and on the wideband its showing 14.9ish at idle.. its funny..because i remember when i first started tuning the car, and it went from 48psi to 60psi after a minor street tune..and has held there.. then after i'd tune it more, it'd go up..and up.. its weird.
i had the same problem but my plugs were white{lean}. after a week of beating my head into a wall turns out it sucked up trash from the gas tank and clogged the fitting that connects your line from the filter to the rail. all of those little holes were covered in trash. i still dont see how it got past the fuel filter. you may want to try something like that or kinks in the return line to the tank

i would give that a thought, except the fact, my lines are custom an fittings.., my lines were all replaced, and my tank was drainned and cleaned before i installed my fuelpump.. so it isn't that..i've heard alot of problems with the b&m fuel pressure gauges..then again..i dunno.. i'm just inquiring 80psi on 440cc injectors with a high pressure fuel pump doesn't seem out of the original, just..weird ..
i thought mine was bad to so i tried another known good one to make sure u never know. i wonder if its the regulator even though its a good brand. is there any way you could try another one that will fit your setup?
had a smiliar problem, b&m fuel pressure gauge would jump lke crazy, and then randomly hold at 90psi, so i took it off and got a new liquid filled one and never had the problem again.

rofl my buddy just told me this, i think its the gauge but i aint worred about it, car is a beast.

i have a b&m guage and havent had any problems with it, it seems to read pretty consistant but the most important things are AFR's and since you know those are still good/the same as they were then then by process of elimination then your pressure shouldnt have changed.
it would **** me off to know it wasnt working but you might as well just leave it since fuel pressure is basically an unimportant number after you set it the first time.

Buddy says its a bad b&m gauge..reason being is that after a day of sitting it still was at 60psi lmfao.. and it holds steady at 80~90psi..i'm pretty fucken sure i'd know if my car was running 90psi of fuel pressure lmfao..i mean i dont even think my car would start..
just drove over to my mom's house, even after warmup the car held 90psi, i tried to adjust it lower..but the car started to lean out and barely idle..so i'm now almost 100% positive its the gauge, i'm just keeping this thread updated incase others have had the same situation or someone uses this as a search b&m is garbage.
I had the same problem, and found out that the vibration of the engine was damaging the fp gauge, I bought an auto meter fp gauge and installed it inside of the car with a ss braided line. problem solved, and now I can see if the pressure drops at high speeds/high rpms.
