HELP! Do I have a H22 transmission????
Hey,
I was wondering if there is anyway that you can tell if a transmission is a H22 transmission. Does it have any special numbers or marks on it???
I am asking this because I just drove another prelude and the transmission feels totally different and it was stock.
The person that I bought the car from blew the original transmission and told me that they replaced it. But he didnt tell me if it was an h22 tranny because I know you can also put a accord tranny in it. If there is anyone who can tell the difference please post. Thanks!

we'll start with the faq's.
we'll continue with the tranny code list.
you will find the tranny code stamped on your tranny housing.

Is the tranny code visible without taking the tranny out? Or do I have to take it out or jack up the car or something to see it.

There should be a white sticker right in front of the transmission, near the block code number and flywheel timing hole. The first 4 letters is what you're looking for.
Also, what is your rpm when cruising @ 80mph?
