Default Loose Shifter

The shifter in my 1993 civic D15b7 is pretty loose left to right when I'm in gear. Doesn't pop kick out of gears and it's tight front to back. Any simple fixes before I get my short shifter?

Not for side to side while In gear.

Take a look at your Shift linkage "bitch" pin.

its the pin that holds the linkage to the tranny, i think its called a gator pin or something. sometimes when people loose them they try to put a screw threw there and is ***** it up

Just to keep people updated... I got a Pace Setter short throw, and I'm waiting for my Energy Suspension bushings to come in the mail. I still haven't worried about the Bitch pin, but I'll probably just check it out while i'm putting all my new fun stuff in.

Never heard people call it a bitch pin, but damn thats an appropiate name for it. Its a cinch to get out if you have the right tool but for some reason Ive never been able to put it back in all the way (until I take it back out).

make sure the bolt that connects the shift linkage to the shifter is tight. If someone else did it, they may not have adjusted it correctly since you can tighten it to your preference
