That looks really good! Any pics under the car with the car at ride height and the slicks at race pressure?

you do know you are allowed to notch the pan, to let it sit up higher. <--- was told to us by NHRA techline.

I didn't take any pics of it on the ground, but I measured it and it was 2.5" from the ground with 6 psi in the tires. I even rolled the car in and out of the garage and turned the tires to make sure the suspension was settled.
I am going to get my license at the orsca event. They are pretty strick about what they let on the track, so I wanted to make sure that the pan wouldn't keep me from getting to run.

Your required to have 3 inchs of ground clearance at the line. Might wanna recheck that make sure youll be ok. Wouldnt want someone to protest you for staging with the pan.

looks nice! my pan is tucked up higher htan that in the rear and i have a hell of a time with it. this is def. higher than mine in the front though. also be carefull with the aluminum mounting tabs like that. driving through the pits at race pressure before/after a run dont be surprized if you hit the pan on the ground. and its a bitch if you break a tab.

yea just relooked.....i had to notch my pan to get it up higher than the oil pan. yours is atleast an inch lower than mine. i had my pan give me a redlight...and if the tire presssure is even a 1/4psi lower than normal it will make the beams flip out. im going to remake my pan for the 3rd or 4th time before the next event i head to. PITA

We'll be making Art's pan today, i'll post some pics when it's done. You have to get creative to make it work and not drag on the ground. 3" is the rule. On my car the downpipe is almost 3" from the ground, so anything that hangs lower than the dp isn't going to fly.

It is only 2.5" at the rear.

i thought i was creative with my pan this time around. before i had issues iwth it hanging too low in the rear because of the downpipe. i cut out a alley where the downpipe is and did the lips on either side so that the downpipe was flush with the pan. but now its too low in the front i havnt gotten around to even looking at how to raise it up...i remember something was in the way but dont remember what it is.

2.5 in the rear isnt going to fly. the first time you stage the car you will realize why. something as simple as your antilag "wiggling" the pan can cause a redlight. i think that happened to felix 3-4 times this year. as soon as he would get on the 2step the red light would come on.

you guys arent using 2 piece catch pans? i think it makes it a lot easier for the clearances.

catch pan above looks great, sucks that it wont really do much since it can't pass tech.
