Default Sizing Intercooler Piping

Hello, new to Honda-tech and hope you help me. I'm big fan of information and helping on forms; hopefully I can help on Honda-tech. I'm currently a member of hondahookup.com and I was ask them about intercooler charge piping sizing and my buddy Mimik quoted "finding the right size intercooler piping involves finding a compressor map of the turbocharger and seeing how much it flows(cfm) at a given amount of boost. take that number and match it up to the size of the intercooler piping that flows about that much. i remember a thread on Honda tech somewhere that had all the values of given intercooler pipe sizes..." I have search and did not find anything if any has any information or knows were I can find the information that would be great, Boosting info is a DSM TD05 .50/.48trim w/ no more than 10psi for now. And if you need any more info please be nice Thanks d16z6_civic

now im not sure of the exact science to figuring out what your talking about... but you should be fine with 2.25 inch unless your really worried about it then get 2.5 inch.

and im sure on your setup it wouldnt be enough of a difference to worry about.

now 2.25 sounds good, is better to have smaller charge piping before the intercooler, for example 2.0" before and 2.5" after.

just run whatever size your intercooler inlets are and off the turbo run a 2 inch to 2.25 or 2.5 coupler. its not that big of a deal

Ya depends on your setup, your basic low boost, just do 2.25 to intercooler and 2.5 out of intercooler....But if your looking for something with a little bit more umph go with 2.5 all the way.
