I have a 2004 Accord and I checked the fuses, the Bulbs work but the brake lights do not work when I apply the brake. But when I turn on the HAzard lights the brake lights work. And the 3rd Brake light works. Im thinking the brake light switch might not work but if that was the case then the 3rd brake light wouldnt work as well right?

Any help would be appreciated.

The third brake light works when you push down the pedal? But the other two do not? Just trying to clarify.

 

Yes that is correct. If it was the brake light switch, I wouldnt be able to get the car out of park in a A/T correct? So i know it cant be the switch, its not the light bulbs because I checked the filament and the Hazard Lights work so Im just trying to see what it could be before the dealerships screw me over lol...

 

Have you had seatbelt work, the rear seat out or trunk work done? It looks like you may have bad bulbs or an unplugged or damaged trunk harness.

 

I will check on the rear wiring harness. This was a used car so it doesnt surprise me if that was the case. Thanks
