Removing AC boxes under dash??
I have already used the search function but did not find any help, Iam wanting to remove the boxes because I dont have AC already adn want a lil' more weight reduction. Ok I have notice there is 3 boxes. It looks like there is. What if I can boxes should be removed to keep the Heater? Or can I keep the heater? And will the fan still be able to blow semi-cold air I knowthis is proably been asked before And it might sould dumb but is this possible before I go pullin **** out? thanks in advance!

i dont think its possible.. but im NOT sure... i have taken a dash all the way apart on a 91 EF and the heater boxes all attach in a line from right to left... it goes...blower....ac box...control station (controls which vent is open) then some vents... uhmm you might be able to take the AC core out of one of the boxes im not to sure about that though but if you still want heater then you cant remove the complete "box"
the AC box will seperate from the rest. you will need the piece of ducting that non-A/C cars have to replace where the box went.

he's right. it comes out separate adn you jsut need the piece for non-ac. I think I have one or two laying around if you wantit. its just a lightweight plastic duct. I'll send it to you for whatever shipping is. im me.
