Tools for TB<->Manifold Portmatching?
Is portmatching an IM with a larger TB something that's possible to do with hand tools? (ie, a dremel and some patience) or is a backyard machine shop required to do the job? It would be great to know before any bolts get turned, etc.
with a good eye, a dremel(air tools are better), a steady hand and some prussian blue, or a permanent marker you could PROBABLY pull it off.
Its doable, just takes a bit of patience. I use a carbide bit that is in the shape of an egg for just about everything I do by hand. I'd definately go with an air grinder over an electric or dremel.
I have a friend with an air compressor, but I'm not sure offhand if he has an air grinder.
*shrug*
Go go electric dremel?
I guess if it's doable it's doable...

you can buy a cheap die grinder for like 20 bucks, and the carbide bit is around 10, then I use those cartridge roll things to finish it up with.
How much bigger do you have to go? A dremel can probably get it done if its not too much bigger... it won't take you long to find out tho

Well, I'm toying with something that starts with "Junk" and ends in "2", so I guess it would be going from 66mm to 70mm or so.
But I still need to get a straight answer on EGR from them before I lay down the cash
