An issue with my parking brake.
I got a ? about my parking brake light. I park on a pretty steep driveway and was wondering if this affects an emergency brake overtime. I wake up some mornings and the light stays on until the car warms up(usually 5-10 minutes) and the light goes off. It seems to only happen at my house and on cool mornings. Any ideas? It bugs me that the light is on. Any help?
About the only thing I can think of is that it might stretch the parking brake cable a little over time (that is if you really crank up the parking brake). How old is your car? Did you ever have the brake fluid changed? I guess one thing you could do is check the level of the brake fluid. I'm not sure, but I think that if the brake fluid level is low enough, the brake light might come on?

actually the brake fluid shouldn't affect that light because the parking brake is completely manual via the cable that connects from the handle to the rear brakes. Tighten the cable a bit to see if that helps, check out how to do that in your chiltons service manual (if you don't have one yet, you should buy one.)
Ok I tightened the cable and only time will tell if that will help. Ill keep an eye on it and let u guys know whats up. Thanks for the help!!
